The Abercrombie Companies were founded in 1962 and are a successor to Musgrove Petroleum which was founded in 1948. Abercrombie and its previous companies have been operating rotary rigs since 1950 throughout the Mid-Continent region. Currently Abercrombie RTD is operating five rigs in the Oklahoma and Texas panhandles and southwest Kansas

During the recent market expansion in the drilling business Kenai Drilling Ltd. made a commitment to expand in to the Mid-Continent. After an extensive search of potential acquisition candidates, Kenai management determined that Abercrombie RTD possessed the combination of Corporate culture, outstanding people and equipment that would make an excellent entre to the area. Kenai intends for Abercrombie to be the vehicle from which we will grow our presence in the Mid-Continent region.
